a new beginning

The New Kingdom Café ™ is an online venue where contributing writers can share sermons, testimonies and short stories designed to encourage, educate and entertain our guests.  In 2008, the Lord gave me the vision for the café.  Many years have passed before a website was launched, but what better time than the present.  The New Kingdom Café is focused on celebrating the Word of God in all that we have to offer.  Psalm 34:8 was the Scripture of meditation for a place where we could camp out and dine together.  Just as the physical self requires physical food and drink to survive, the spiritual self requires spiritual food and drink to survive.   The New Kingdom Café is open all year round, twenty-four hours a day.  There’s no need to worry about parking and just like the television ad for a popular ice cream brand, you don’t need to wear pants so come as you are.  

I'm a writer, artist and ordained minister.  After more than thirty years as a civil service employee I retired, but not before earning a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary.  At my church I also serve as director of the food pantry.
